So here I am. A Brizzie now. Arrived here on Sat afternoon, got minor problems with my accomodation but thankfully the hot duty warden was kind enough to straighten things up and within an hour, I managed to get the keys into my room. Uncle Roger went through the trouble of fetching me from Heathrow to Bristol (He's from Sussex, that's the other end of the world) and then took me to The Mall, Tesco and also to Wilkinson's to buy certain essentials. Thank God for him otherwise I might find it so difficult to settle down.
Sunday was all about SHOPPING!!! I walked into Primark (which is only 3 minutes away from my apartment) and I thought I was in heaven! I spent a good 2 hours in that shop. Came out with a pair of sexy boots, 3 tops, a body polish, 2 pairs of gloves and a leopard print bag (I love this so much) all for 17.83 quid!! I don't bloody get all those for RM100 back in Malaysia!! AND Debenhams is next to Primark AND Marks & Spencer is directly opposite these two shops AND Cabots Circus is just 5 minutes away from there!! AHHHHH!!! I called mum and told her bout it and I could sense that she's trying to find time (and excuse for Papa) to come over to my place. Of course, she was all motherly and went "We gave you the money to study, not to spend everything on shopping". Okay, Ma! Point taken! (I can always work at the lounge behind my apartment)
Stepped into Frenchay Campus yesterday. Its big and beautiful! Love the scenery there. Neresha, Sasha and I had problems looking for places. Only started class today and I WANT TO GO BACK TO NILAI!!!! ArgghhH!! You Nilai-ians better be proud and STOP COMPLAINING!! I know that the grass is always greener on the other side but trust me on this. To walk from one class to another, it took the three of us at least 5 minutes (we were not lost mind you). To get our timetables, we had to do all these by ourselves. Back in Nilai, you just follow whatever's been arranged for you. And the workload, GOD!!! Don't even get me started on this one! The three of us were not allowed to enter class as we didn't attempt the tutorials and we have to write a journal for accounting in context as well as research on invesment opportunities in three different countries and write a 3500 word essay on it and present it. @#^%^*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But like I've said, I don't regret making this decision. I chose to come out of my comfort zone and yes, I'm still adapting to it. Learning to be independent (I'm in a western country and I only know how to cook western food. (SOMEONE FEDEX NASI LEMAK AND DURIANS TO ME NOW!!!).
Anyway, I miss squishy already (though he can be so f***ing insecured at times)!!
My room before unpacking
A substitute to my lonely nights
If you know what I mean
Till then, I shall try to stay away from the malls.
xoxo, -carmen-
