Carmen's "Quarterly" Resolutions

Now that Uni has started and that I'm doing my 2nd year subjects (and that I'm loving every moment of it..NOT), I have decided to face the music (and trust me the only music which is playing in my mind right now is "Killing Me Softly" ). So what the heck?! 

Let's see.. This semester is particularly hectic..

a) Critical Thinking (2 assignments, one mid-term)

b) Understaing Financial Report (1 assignment and finals)

c) Law for Business (2 assignments)

d) Fundamentals of Finance (1 assignment and finals)

e) Management Information System (100% finals)

And what does it spell out? HELL! 

Here it goes, at the start of every semester, I have my own resolutions (people do it yearly, I do it quarterly).

a) Achieve 5As this semester (Though it may seem impossible for some of you, but don't forget, I am Leong Carmen) 

b) Lose 1kg (With the strings of hols in December and CNY next week, I HAVE to make sure that this happens)

c) Scholarship to University of Lancaster/University of Manchester! (I'm dying to go to either of these two Unis in UK)

d) Increase my efficiency rate :)

e) To spend less time shopping (I doubt this will happen but...OH WELL!)

Ahh...now that I have everything listed down, all I can say to myself is "KAKALIKITOMAFALUIMAMA"

Let's play catch-up

Okay, I know that I haven't been blogging for quite some time already. I mean its been 3 months since I last entered a new post. So many things had happened and its just unbelievable! Let's just go on a quick recap.

November 08:

a) Was busy preparing for my final examination. Tonnes of pressure there as I'm eyeing for that spot at University of Lancaster/University of Manchester. So my life was basically revolving around the books (and of course my baby!)

December 08:

a) I love the month of December :) The Ultimate Prom Night Finals was awesome! Great night, full of memories (including embarassing myself in front of national TV and "thanks" Ivan, I'll never forget what you did to me on that night)

b) Of course, now that exams are over, you know what this means for me *winks* PARTY!! First stop was Penang. Went there with my babe to surprise Arvind. He didn't know we were going up. We kinda lied to him. Ivan was suppose to join us but he missed the bus! Arrgghh! Anyway, had bucketloads of fun. Will never forget Arv's cute car. The food and the shopping over at Penang turned me on. DANG!

c) Cam came back from UK for good and it was great hanging out with her and friends for Xmas dinner. Went out to play pool. (Note to self: I suck at it!)

d) The following day, I went to Fraser's Hills over the weekend with family and friends (and I was actually suffering from a hangover). 31 of us were there, including family and friends. So good to actually spend time with all these people.

e) As soon as I got home, showered and did my weekly mask,got a call from Ivan saying that Arv came down to KL. We went shisha at this awesome place, The Castle. The mint tea was great too and we were just laughing the and cam-whoring the whole night. Guys, if you wanna go shisha, I'll take you there!

f) New Year's Eve. Since its probably my last time celebrating it with my family as I might not be in Malaysia by Sept 09 (fingers crossed), I have decided to celebrate it with my family. Was over at Uncle Richard's house watching Mamma Mia! and drinking wine like there's no tomorrow.

I guess that's it for 2008. A great year for me and I'm looking forward to the Year of Ox. Till then,
