Not Home

So, I submitted my 4,500 word draft assignment, minus 4,000 words, yesterday. Examining mergers & acquisitions isn't easy! I'm really glad I chose this topic. I have to say, its interesting (minus the fact that I've got to be patient in understanding the graphs and tables) but financial analysts can make the most assumptions in the world EVERRR

Work was also tiring. I single-handedly, at most times, manage the kitchen yesterday. On the brighter side, my manager has agreed to give me more hours next week which means I need to manage my time wisely now. My dad's pretty worried about the fact that his daughter has to deal with hot oil, face heat and get bruises and scratches without knowing how she got it (yes, I came back with two bruises on my finger and a scratch on my hand a few days ago after work)

After a long weekend, everyone deserves a good break. It was also Zhen's farewell party. Went to HK Diner for more drinks and karaoke session at bout 2am. Boy was it nice to sleep last night!

We seek shelter in the telephone booth.
Too cold outside
Out apple sour shots

Drink Jassie
Why do shots when you can drink from the bottle?
While waiting to leave our coats in the cloakroom
And we're all ready

The advantage of having a guy friend who is 5 times heavier than you are.
He's so gonna kill me for saying that

He mixes his drinks with Green Tea

I'm gonna make sure I'll stay sober for the next two weeks. Till CNY. Oh god! The thought of not being at home with my family during CNY is heart-wrenching. No angpows, no gambling, no complaining about going to boring parties, no walking around the neighbourhood/into neighbours' houses (normally on the 7th day) with my bro's lion dance troupe to collect angpows from random people (and as I'm getting older, it takes a lot of hardwork to potray the image of a 16 year old girl. People always assume that I'm married. HELLO! I don't wear a ring!), can't teach the younger kids how to gamble, can't drool over the mountain high of Carlsberg at home..and and and can't be with my family! We would normally colour co-ordinate on the first day of CNY =(

Till then, I shall sit at one corner and lament over my luck.

xoxo, -carmen-
